Health Camp Serves 200+ Residents in Sundarbans

Health5 September 2025By Jakir Hossain Mollick

Our recent mobile health camp in the Sundarbans reached over 200 community members, providing crucial healthcare services to one of West Bengal's most vulnerable regions.

The three-day camp offered comprehensive medical examinations, basic treatments, health screenings, and mental health counseling sessions. Our team of volunteer doctors, nurses, and mental health professionals worked tirelessly to address the healthcare gaps in this remote area.

Services Provided

  • General medical consultations: 150+ patients
  • Mental health counseling: 45 sessions
  • Health education workshops: 5 sessions
  • Medicine distribution: Essential medications provided
  • Referrals for advanced care: 12 cases

Community Response

The response from the community was overwhelmingly positive, with many residents expressing gratitude for bringing healthcare services directly to their doorstep. Local leader Shri Ramesh Kumar noted, "This camp has been a lifeline for our community, especially for our elderly residents who cannot travel to distant hospitals."

We plan to continue these mobile health camps quarterly in the Sundarbans region as part of our commitment to healthcare equity.
